I lost my Heidi on Christmas Day. It was sudden and unexpected. To have a kind ear on the phone in the form of Bill when I made her cremation arrangements was a blessing. How he managed to understand me thru my tears is amazing! When I picked up Heidi's ashes, Missy was there to lend her support and understanding. I recently had my pet cremated at Hummel Funeral Home, and I was very impressed with their services. They were very compassionate and I knew my pet was in good hands. They were also able to do the cremation very quickly and get my girl home to me for Christmas...that meant a lot to me. As a veterinarian, I am aware of a variety of options for pets' remains, but I truly believe Hummel is one of the best. First and for most we would like to thank Missy for her kind hearted words and caring so much for our family. I just wanted to say thank you personally to Missy and Bill. Although I am still struggling with losing my preciaous McGraw Bill made it a little easier to leave him and Missy made it a little easier when I picked him up. I have told everybody how wonderful you were and have recommended you just in case. Thank you Missy for letting me talk and cry about my McGraw. My cat died on Saturday morning 8/27/11. When I called Hummel to find out what I needed to do the gentleman I spoke to was the most compassionate man. He said he would be leaving soon but would wait for me and to take my time. When I arrived he talked me through everything and it was a great comfort. When I was notified that I could pick up my pet the young lady also said she would wait for me just in case I was a little late. Thank you so much for helping me through this. I feel so blessed to have been referred to Hummel Pet Services. You could feel they really shared in the grieving of what we had to endure with our beloved Gigi. I was very impressed with the professionalism and respect they showed our family. After we put our Greyhound, Joe, to sleep, we wanted to have him cremated. It was nice to know that there was a local company that was available 24 hours a day. It is a very rough time for any family to lose a pet, but Hummel made it a little easier. Our baby "Buddy" came in through the surgery center at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital on 2/22/11 and sadly passed away 2/24/11. I only called Hummel because the hospital told me that was where "Buddy" was being cremated, but when I called, an angel on the other end of the phone named "Missy" answered. As upset and heartbroken as I was to even speak to her, the love and compassion I could feel from speaking to her, I knew our baby "Buddy" was at the "right" place. We cannot thank you enough.
